Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Luc François Python, doing business as "BridgePit" (Switzerland) handles personal data in connection with the BridgePit desktop software and this website, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

The short version: the software runs on your computer. Your broker credentials, webhook token, strategy configuration, positions, and trading activity stay on your machine — they are never transmitted to us, and we could not access them if we wanted to. License keys are verified offline. The only personal data we hold is what it takes to sell you a license: your name, email, and payment records (card details are held by Stripe, never by us).

1. Data we process, and why

Purchase and license data — name, email address, plan, license key identifier, and payment history. Purpose: contract fulfilment (issuing and managing your license), support, and legal bookkeeping obligations. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.; we never receive your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Support communications — emails you send us, kept as long as needed to help you and document the exchange.
Website — our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes standard technical request logs (IP address, user agent) to deliver the site. We run no advertising trackers.

2. Data that never reaches us

Broker usernames, passwords, and API keys — stored encrypted on your device only.
Your strategies, alert contents, orders, positions, and account balances — processed locally on your device. Alerts flow directly from your charting platform to your machine; orders flow directly from your machine to your broker.
The desktop software contains no analytics or telemetry and does not phone home. Optional notification channels you configure (e.g. your own Telegram bot, your own email account, a heartbeat monitoring URL) send data only to endpoints you chose and control.

3. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with processors needed to run the business — Stripe (payments) and Vercel (website hosting) — and where the law requires disclosure.

4. Retention

Purchase records are kept for the retention periods required by Swiss commercial and tax law (up to 10 years). Support correspondence is kept while relevant. You can request deletion of anything we are not legally required to keep.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, receive a copy of, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at support@bridgepit.com. If you are in the EU/EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Switzerland, with the FDPIC.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
